Training Practice

We are an accredited training practice for GP registrars, trainee doctors, medical students and both undergraduate and postgraduate nurses.

Drs John Rohan, Elizabeth Macmillan, Mohana Krishnan, Thomas Leonard and Devrim Beyzade are certified trainers for GP registrars, Dr Yuvraj Pattni is an FY2 trainer. All trainee registrars are fully qualified doctors, with extensive hospital experience and they normally spend up to a year in training with us.

An appointment with a GP trainee is the same as an appointment with a regular GP, sometimes you may have a longer consultation which some patients prefer. Occasionally trainees may ask a senior GP to come and see you as well, this is quite normal.

Sometimes you may be given an appointment to see a registrar and your permission sought for the consultation to be recorded on video for teaching purposes or your telephone consultation audio recorded. Declining to give your permission will not affect your treatment in any way. The recordings are treated with the upmost confidence and an important part of learning and education and we thank you for your co-operation in advance.

Our nurses are qualified to provide training and work experience for both undergraduate and postgraduate nurses. In your nursing appointments it is not uncommon to have a trainee nurse learning from your regular nurse.
